What an interesting weekend of ups and downs!

On Friday, I had a very good day of testing and preparing the car and myself ready for qualifying and all the races, showing some good pace throughout the day.

Then Saturday came round and it was time for qualifying, and I was quite confident I would be able to put in some good times, but sadly one lap into qualifying I lost 5th gear which really affected my pace and lap times, meaning I didn’t get to set any good laps in qualifying.

However, with that problem resolved after qualifying by the amazing team at @proalloysracing I went into race 1 on the back foot, starting quite far back, but going into the race I still tried all my efforts to move up the grid. Sadly, the car just seemed to struggle for power in the hot conditions which saw me not really gaining much out of race 1, but fired up and looking forward to race 2 on Sunday.

Come Sunday morning, the team had done a mega job at finding the problem from race 1, which they resolved.  Going into race 2 I was therefore confident that I would be able to move up the pack, which I did, making some good overtakes and having some good battles, which was great progress from the race before!

Going into race 3 I was still very confident due to race 2, and so I wanted to go out and try to gain as much from the race as possible. This saw me have some really good battles, climbing up to 13^th place before losing third gear on the last lap, which saw me loose one place which dropped me down to 14th but it was still an amazing result, which I was more than happy with!

Overall, it was an amazing weekend and I can’t thank @proalloysracing enough for all the efforts they put into the car and supporting me throughout the weekend.

I can’t wait to be out again soon for round 3 at Oulton Park!
