What a very eventful weekend to say the least, with lots of positives, a few negatives, but most importantly, lots and lots of knowledge and confidence built throughout the weekend.

Saturday 21 September
Qualifying – p13
Race one – DNF

What an event-filled Saturday, to say the least! With my best qualifying of the year, I was showing some good pace and enjoying the challenge of more time to find, and so I went into race one with high hopes, hoping I could find that pace and move my way up the grid. Unfortunately, during the race I struggled for pace causing me to try push harder to gain some ground, but 2 laps before the chequered flag the engine blew causing me to DNF the race.

Due to this, the team at proalloysracing did a mega job overnight to take the engine out and put the new one in ready for Sunday so I could race.  I also want to say a massive thank you to them for sourcing me a spares car overnight so I could race after the front end of my car went missing due to a mix up with the circuit clean-up crew!

Sunday 22 September
Race 2 – p21 to p15

Race two was a very eventful race, in some horrible conditions. Starting from the back, I hoped to make my way up the grid and during the race I was making places up lap after lap but sadly I had a spin on one lap into the last chicane which saw me drop down the order.  However, I wasn’t going to be deterred, and  I persevered and managed to gain some places back up the field which I was more than happy with considering the treacherous conditions.

Overall it was a good weekend of gaining confidence and knowledge, especially in the tricky wet conditions, and I can’t thank proalloysracing enough for their efforts all weekend and for managing to find all my parts thankfully after my race on Sunday. I can’t wait for the season finale at Silverstone International where I hope I can end the season on a high with some good results.
